About Genshin Impact Video Game

In this open-world action role-playing game, you are a traveller awoken in a new land and drifted from another world. You will explore the world freely, make friends along the way, unravel the mysteries of Teyvat, and look for “The Seven” – Archons of the Seven Elements.

In Teyvat, you can fly, swim, climb, walk, and run off the beaten path. Your goal is to discover all the hidden secrets of this world. You are a traveller and a warrior and will fight against dangerous monsters alone or with companions.

In Genshin Impact, you can invite friends to fight together in a team of up to 4 players from different platforms (Windows, Play Station, iOS, and Android).

Search Genshin Impact on Google and visit the website

1 Search for Genshin Impact on your preferred search engine (I used Google) or visit the official website genshin.hoyoverse.com. Then, click ‘Download‘ on the top right corner to access the installer page.

Download the installer from the website and run it

2 Genshin Impact is available for PS5, PS4, iOS, Android, and Windows. Let’s go with the Microsoft platform and click the Windows black button to download the installer. Then, double-click it to move to the next step.

Begin installation and run the game

3 Now, read and accept the Terms of Service. But before doing that, you can choose the installation location by clicking ‘Advanced‘ in the bottom right corner. I will install the game on my external Hard Drive. For this purpose, I created a new folder and gave it the name ‘Games’. But you can choose whatever you want. When you are okay with that, click ‘Install Now” and then ‘Run Now‘.

Download the resources and launch the game

4 The game shortcut will appear on your desktop after clicking ‘Run Now’ (see step 3). Next, click ‘Get Game‘ to start downloading all the resources. Before doing that, you can change the path. I kept the ‘Games’ folder I set before. When you are ready, click the yellow button and wait for the process to complete.

The game requires almost 40 GB of storage space. Hence the process will take some time, depending on your internet speed and computer power. Personally, it took me two hours with a 40 Mbps internet connection. So, now wait until the end of the process and click ‘Launch‘.

Register or Log In

5 To play Genshin Impact, you need a HoYoverse account. If you already have one, enter your email and password. Otherwise, register a new profile or sign in with your social media credentials choosing between Facebook and Twitter. After clicking ‘Start game‘, accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Download updates and begin the game

6 You are a step away from starting the game at this point. Select the server. Then, wait until the game downloads the remaining resources. Once done, click to begin and enter the wonderful world of Genshin Impact. And remember to have a lot of fun!

• Liyue. A harbour in the east of Teyvat, where you will find a beautiful landscape with rivers, mountains, and a stone forest.
• Inazuma. A remote archipelago far East of Teyvat, where you will enjoy endless thunderstorms, towering cliffs, winding shores, forests, mountains, red maple and cherry blossoms.
• Mondstadt. A city of freedom in the northeast of Teyvat, from amongst mountains and wide-open plains. Mondstadt sits on an island in the middle of Cider Lake.
